Creative Direction & Digital Experience Design For Statewide Maternal Health Initiative
Designing clarity within complex, high-stakes health information
In partnership with Stanford and the State of California, this work supported a broader effort to improve maternal health outcomes. The focus was to use design to make critical information clearer, more accessible, and easier to understand.
The Problem
The information existed—but it wasn’t easy to navigate. It was dense with clinical language, had multiple audience needs, and high-stress situations with many internal and external stakeholders.
The Approach
We approached this as a structure problem. We broke complex layers of content into clear, digestible layers; built hierarchy to guide different audiences, and created a visual system that supports understanding without adding noise.
The goal was to make the content usable.
The Outcome
The work resulted in a more cohesive and accessible system that improved how maternal health information is communicated, supporting better understanding and decision-making across stakeholders.
